Bachey-Legros, Santenay Blanc 1er Cru 'Clos de Gravières' 2017 (750ml)

Bachey-Legros is a new discovery for us and we are delighted to have found brothers Samuel and Lenaic who hail from the southern end of the southern end of the Cote d'Or. Ancient vines in Santenay, Maranges and a tiny bit of Chassagne-Montrachet. >>>

<<< John Gilman writes in The View from the Cellar: "Really lovely example of this fine vintage. Very high limestone content - this is readily apparent in the bouquet - pure and complex - pear, a hint of pastry cream, beautifully complex, chalky soil tones, apple blossoms, a touch of fresh almond and a discreet framing of vanillin oak. Palate - Deep, full-bodied, focused and complex, superb core of fruit, lovely cut and grip, impeccable balance - long, zesty and very classy finish. Superb wine and a great bargain!"

Terrific wines that are great values in both red and white.
