Outstanding producer of orange wines. Located in Friuli, where wonderful things in the world of orange happen. The Ribolla Gialla grape, of which this is 100%, a perfect candidate. Aromatic and spicy, orange peel, white pepper. Savory and intriguing. A lot going on here.
Podere Pradarolo, VEJ, 2018 (750ml)
Out of the glass and in your face. Vej is 100% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica. Organically farmed in the Parma hills. Aged in large oak barrels for 16 months. Long maceration on the skins. Notes of stone fruit, garden herbs, and pine. Big aroma.
Masiero Garganega Lazaro, 2017 (750ml)
100% Garganega with 100 days of skin contact and aged 6 months in marble vats. This wine does not let you go. Dry and structured with notes of apricot, herbs, and tree nuts with a beautiful unique texture.
Escoda Sanahuja, 'Els Bassotets', 2018 (750ml)
Purist natural wines from this cult like Spanish producer who has vines in various areas around Montblanc. This is the young vine bottling. A blend of Chenin, Parellada, Macabeu, Garnacha Blanca, and Sumoll.
