Gianmarco Antonuzzis' vineyards are filled olive groves and chestnut trees. In Lazio’s north, the soils are volcanic, rich in iron and minerals that help to develop this blend of Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Merlot from young vines. There is a gentle spice to the cherry-toned fruit here, which along with some neat little tannins, makes for the best version of this wine in recent memory.
