Vigneron Pierre Fenals moved from Paris to Burgundy after reading Rudolph Steiner. The name Belles Lies derives from a practice developed by 17th century monks who would dry their barrels and rub them with the lees from the vintage. This expression of Chardonnay is focused, with flinty minerality and slight nutty notes from lees and neutral oak.
