<<< The ecological culture carried out by the cellar, the characteristics of the soil, the microclimate and the vines, over 40 years old and low yields, are the best calling card for its healthy and quality wines. Perricone is an ancient grape native to Sicily, which is not widely used. It can now be found especially in the western part of the island, such as in Camporeale where Porta del Vento makes its Maquè, a fresh and balanced wine that gracefully reveals the characteristics of this territory.
Maquè Perricone is characterized by a somewhat dark nose, with aromas of black cherry and plum jam on a balsamic background, with other notes of oregano, black olives, resin and spices such as clove and pepper. The palate is well structured, with well integrated tannins and an appropriate freshness and minerality.
