Viña Echeverria, 'No Es Pituko' Chardonnay Reserva, 2018 (750ml)
That cloudy, slightly salty, hint of funk but still refreshing kind of wine we find ourselves craving. Naturally made from old vines in the central valley of Chile, we love seeing these easy drinking, well priced gems on the scene.
Maria and Sepp Muster, Opok, 2017 (750ml)
Muster is all about that healthy soil, the Opok bottling is a quite delicious and intriguing natural wine made up of the grapes Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Morillon (Chardonnay). Good with schnitzel or grilled vegetables.
Joseph Dorbon, Arbois Blanc Vieilles Vignes 'Cuvee des Moyne', 2014
From a single parcel of 40- to 70-year-old vines, this is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Savagnin. The grapes are cofermented, and the wine spends 30 to 36 months sous voile. Dense and resinous with the strong acidity to carry that weight.
Laherte Frères, Champagne Brut, 'Ultradition', NV (375ml)
Blend of 60% Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. Primary fermentation takes places in a combination of foudres (20%) tank (20%) and barrel (60%) . Fine and complex and deliciously fluffy. Put on some sequins and drink this, fancy pants.
Raymond Dupont-Fahn, Puligny-Montrachet "Les Charmes", 2016 (750ml)
D-F is on a roll and is churning out super-precise, mineral-chiseled white Burgundies from the region's most famous white wine villages. Pricing remains extraordinarily fair...for now. You can drink now, but don't be afraid to decant!
