Chantereves, L’Intrus, VDP, 2017 (750ml)
100% Syrah from the Southern Rhone Valley that has great fruit and is light on its feet. Everything you want, blueberry, spice, and raspberry notes that finish up beautifully. This wine is full of life and wouldn't mind being next to a roasted chicken.
Xavier Gerard, Cote-Rotie, 2016 (750ml)
Xavier has recently taken the reigns at his family estate and things are going well... Here he shows a finer expression of Syrah with pure fruit and well integrated tannin. Though it's ready to drink now, this noble wine will certainly take well to aging.
Bois de Boursan, Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' Rouge, 2016 (750ml)
Earthy aromas with notes of pepper, herbs, dark fruits and garrigue. Plenty of fruit on the palate, full with an ample tannic grip on the finish. A classic, old-school beauty that will need short-term cellaring and improves in the glass.
Seigneurs de Peyreviel, Côtes de Millau, 2016 (750ml)
If you were, say, driving through the French countryside and stopped for lunch, it’s likely that the charming table wine you consumed would drink much like this one. A blend of Syrah, Gamay, Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Fer Servadou.
Clos Saron, Kind of Blue, 2015 (750ml)
Near and dear to our hearts, Clos Saron makes beautiful and honest California wine in the Sierra Foothills. Gideon was once the winemaker for a cult, now we are in his cult of deliciousness. Kind of Blue this vintage is co fermented Carignan, Syrah, Caber
Domaine Tempier, Bandol Rouge, 2017 (750ml)
There is something about dark, inky Mourvèdre, and the salty sea air passing through the vines every night that typifies classic Bandol. With substantial Mourvèdre at its core, this blend of is complete, and ready to serve cooled down a touch.
