Xavier Gerard, Cote-Rotie, 2016 (750ml)
Xavier has recently taken the reigns at his family estate and things are going well... Here he shows a finer expression of Syrah with pure fruit and well integrated tannin. Though it's ready to drink now, this noble wine will certainly take well to aging.
Bonnefond, Cote-Rotie Cote Rozier, 2001 (750ml)
Plush Syrah from a great vintage, now at peak maturity. While some Northern Rhone producers have gotten so scarce and expensive that they are now totally out of reach, you can still occasionally find values like this. Grab them when you do!
Chantereves, L’Intrus, VDP, 2017 (750ml)
100% Syrah from the Southern Rhone Valley that has great fruit and is light on its feet. Everything you want, blueberry, spice, and raspberry notes that finish up beautifully. This wine is full of life and wouldn't mind being next to a roasted chicken.
Shebang, The Whole Twelfth Cuvée California Red (750ml)
Lets say the best deal in REAL DEAL California winemaking. Morgan Twain-Peterson makes this wine, and we're happy its in the world. Take this to the rooftop or camping. It's a win for us all. Blend of Syrah, Petite Syrah, and Zinfandel.
